Anyone had work done at a certified Bentley transmission place here?

I am usually not the type to post on forums but I am genuinely stuck and could use some guidance. My Continental GTC has been having occasional rough downshifts when coming to a stop, not every time but often enough to bother me. The dealer quoted me a diagnostic fee that is more than my monthly grocery bill and told me they would need the car for four days just to look at it. I have been searching for certified Bentley automatic transmission repair because I want someone who actually knows these ZF units and has the right software to read the adaptations, not just a generic garage that will guess. Has anyone here used a specialist for their Bentley gearbox and was the experience worth it? I am also curious whether these symptoms usually point to something minor like adaptations needing a reset, or if it is usually the start of something expensive. Any honest input would really help because I am tired of getting vague answers from shops.
