A question about comparing clothing colors

by Georgecapy » Sat Oct 31, 2026 3:22 am

My next work task involves presenting several lessons on camera. The company backdrop is a fairly strong teal. I can choose my clothes, but replacing the background is outside my part of the project. I own a cream shirt, a navy shirt, and a muted red one. I would like to compare those before buying anything. The room, microphone position, and lighting will stay the same throughout the course. I can make these comparison clips before the scheduled recording day, so there is time to adjust my choice without delaying anyone. I found a personal color analysis page while looking for language to describe the differences. The camera and the background seem to introduce another set of considerations. Would you compare short clips with identical camera settings first? A colleague could check whether each shirt remains distinct from the wall. What should I evaluate separately when judging how my face looks?
